Kdc-108

Review

Here is the Kenwood KDC-108.

This is a entry level cd player fm/am reciever from Kenwood. Being entry level, it comes with your basic of features, including great sound quality.

Average retail is about $80.

The features listed on the Kenwood website list as follows:

Features:

•Single line 11 digit FL display

•MP3/WMA, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, playback

•2volt Preouts

Other Features:

50Wx4 and switchable rear/subwoofer preouts also add to the list of goodies.

A Front Aux makes easy access for any device that has a audio out.

The red illuminated display help the receiver stand out at night. The buttons are arranged for easy operation. The 6 presets stay within reach and illuminiated.

Mp3s/WMAs along with regular cd play, give the radio different playable formats. We have put this radio in boats, 4 wheelers and 4 wheel drives, and unless they hit a stump or tree, or fall in a hole, the cd doesn't skip.

The radio is setup in menu format. Open the menu using the volume control, by pressing in, then as you rotate the knob you see different things to change. After making selections, you can save by pressing the knob in and then using the back key to exit the menu.

Installation:

This radio is really easy to install, well depending on the vehicle. Some vehicles are easy to get the radio out, some the whole dash has to come apart.

Conclusion:

While the KDC-108 doesnt have the features of a $300 radio, mainly because it is Kenwood's Starting player, it makes up for affordable pricing, ease of use, and pretty good sound quality.

So if you are needing a radio that won't break the bank, or cause your wallet/purse to burst into flames, then the Kenwood KDC-108 cd/receiver is the radio to get.
